The Domaine

It was created at the end of the 19th century by Jean Grivot and is nowadays run by Etienne Grivot. The estate extends on 14,72 hectares and produces reds for the majority, including some Grands Crus like Richebourg and Clos-de-Vougeot. It follows biological principles but is not certified.

The wine

This 1er Cru is near the commune of Vosnes-Romanée and is characterized by concentration, deepness, and minerality. It softened after a few years of aging and revealed very fine tannins, especially in 1992.
