During a memorable dinner in 1867 reuniting the King of Prussia Guillaume 1st, Alexander III the Tsarevich, and Alexander II the Tsar of all the Russias in the Café Anglais, the Tsar was surprised by not tasting foie gras. Chef Adolphe Dugléré explained that was normal as June is not the season. When fall arrived, he sent him a terrine of the Three Emperors' foie gras created specially on the occasion by the owner Claudius Burdel. By marrying the latter's daughter, André Terrail made this gastronomic heritage enter Tour d’Argent.
