Our Head Sommelier Victor González and his team pursue their trip on the French roads to find new gems. They began 2024 with the south of Burgundy, looking for great Mâconnais whites.
Dive into the story of the Mâconnais vineyard, whose roots go back to Middle-Age with the rise linked to the Cluny abbey. The winegrowers were extremely resilient when facing the phylloxera in the 20th century and united their forces through cooperatives, forging the strong identity of the vineyard. Back from the vines, our sommeliers cannot wait to share the fruit of their discoveries, highlighting estates committed to sustainable farming.
The estate embodies the transmission of a Burgundy expertise and extends over 18 hectares of vines in biological agriculture. The “regular” wines come from a traditional vinification and offer deep aromas, especially the old vines.
Jocelyne and Michel Paquet created the estate in 1980 by acquiring 6 hectares in Davayé in the Mâconnais. The property now run by their three sons extends over 36 hectares. Always looking for perfection, the brothers follow three rules:

The estate has been synonymous with excellence since 1940 and is a pioneer in bottling at the property. It was bought by Louis Jadot in 2008. It stands out by its parcellar vinification highlighting terroirs and traditions to produce exceptional white wines.
