From April 22nd to 25th, 2024, Bordeaux and several of its famous châteaux hosted the Primeurs Week 2023, allowing winemakers to present their 2023 vintage still in the process of aging to the press and distribution professionals.

During this week, wine tastings featuring all the appellations of the Bordeaux vineyards took place in six different Bordeaux châteaux :

• The 2023 primeur wines of Graves, Pessac-Léognan, Sauternes, and Barsac were evaluated at Château Carbonnieux,

• For Saint-Emilion, it took place at Château Soutard,

• For Pomerol at Château Le Gay : The Château Le Gay estate, headquarters of the family vineyards, includes a vineyard superbly located on a gravelly ridge particularly conducive to vine cultivation. The siliceous soil contains a large amount of gravel, while the subsoil is clayey.

• For Margaux and the southern Haut-Médoc at Château La Lagune : La Lagune wines are fine and elegant, harmonious and balanced. It is this particular terroir that is expressed in La Lagune wines, shaped by the climate of the vintage.

• For Saint-Julien, Listrac, and Moulis at Château Branaire-Ducru: In the heart of the Médoc, between Margaux and Pauillac, Château Branaire-Ducru is located in the Saint-Julien appellation, surrounded by the other great classified growths of this exceptional terroir. The vines are planted on a gravelly soil, composed of gravel and stones carried by the Garonne during the Quaternary.

• For Pauillac, Saint-Estèphe, north Haut Médoc, and Médoc, tastings took place at Château Lynch-Moussas.
