Description

The estate

The Deiss family has been established in Bergheim, Alsace, not far from Ribeauvillé, since 1947. With biodynamic viticulture at the heart of its philosophy, the estate places respect for the soil and the environment at the heart of its practices. The Deiss family focuses its know-how on the terroir rather than the grape variety, offering wines with very distinct styles.

The wine

Complantation is a blend of mainly pinot blanc, riesling and pinot gris. This cuvée is a good way of understanding the philosophy behind the estate, where several grape varieties are planted together in a single plot. Blending allows the estate to produce a well-balanced wine that makes the most of the characteristics of each grape variety.
