    Description

    The vineyard

In the Loire Valley, south of Angers, Bénédicte and Luc Briand manage the 30-hectare vineyard with the greatest respect for the environment and the vines. The soils are a combination of different types of schist and volcanic rock, so each of the estate's cuvées has its own distinctive style.

    The wine

Pavillon is a plot-based cuvée. Here, the vines face north, so the Chenin grapes are fully mature but retain a great deal of freshness. The grapes are harvested by hand and the wine is made as naturally as possible. This cuvée is matured for two years, in concrete eggs and amphorae, to produce a stable wine and develop its complexity.
