The vineyard
The vineyard was founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet on the famous Hermitage hillside. The estate covers some of the finest terroirs in the northern Rhône Valley. Today, the Jaboulet estate represents 105 hectares of vines from Cornas to Côte-Rôtie, enabling the production of different styles of wine.
The wine
La Chapelle is Syrah 100% and is a blend of grapes from some of the finest plots in the Hermitage appellation. This cuvée, which has benefited from ageing, is marked by tertiary aromas of leather, truffle and smoked meat. The tannins have softened over the years and are now remarkably silky.
