    A little history...

    In 1911, André Terrail bought the Tour d'Argent and united it with the Café Anglais by marrying the daughter of the owner, Claudius Burdel. The Café Anglais had been a favorite spot for "English customers" after the peace of Amiens in 1902. The legacy of Café Anglais is reflected in our beautiful products, celebrating the famous tea time. We offer tea to respect the British tradition, of course, but also coffee so that everyone can quench their thirst according to their preferences. For sustenance, we present French-style sweetness: our authentic Butter biscuits with a savory taste, light dough, and rich in butter, accompanied by two delicious jams - apricot and strawberry - to make this moment more fruity.
