The estate
The Domaine des Ardoisières was created in 1998 and is run biodynamically. Yields are minimal and the grapes are harvested by hand, so the wines produced are of the highest quality and a perfect reflection of the Savoyard terroir.
The wine
Quartz is a single-varietal Altesse, a Savoyard grape variety. Domaine des Ardoisière's Quartz is a beautiful expression of this grape variety, full of freshness and balance. The wine is marked by magnificent aromatic depth, with green fruit and mirabelle plum. Aged for 18 months in barrels, the wine reveals subtle, more complex notes of hazelnut.
