The domain
The original estate was created by Maria Juby and Louis Juby, the great-grandparents of Patrick Baudoin. The winemaker took over the estate in 1990. The vineyard now covers 13 hectares of vines. The plots are planted with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chenin. Patrick Baudoin takes great pride in producing wines that truly reflect the terroir, all while maintaining the utmost respect for the environment.
The wine
Effusion is a blend of several parcels of Chenin planted on volcanic rocks, which gives the wines delicately smoky notes. Fermentation and ageing are done in barrels, allowing the wine to benefit from micro-oxygenation, which gives it a lot of complexity.
