The domain
Located in Ampuis, the 7-hectare estate is run by Julie and Graeme Bott. Nothing predestined them to viticulture, and yet to this day they offer wines under the Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, and Côte-Rotie appellations. The couple vinifies the grapes plot by plot, allowing the terroir to express itself freely.
The wine
This Saint-Joseph from the Bott estate is a typical blend of Roussanne and Marsanne. The wine reveals notes of white peach and pear alongside floral notes of jasmine. The cuvée is very balanced between a creamy texture and tension. Elegant bitters enhance the aromatic persistence of the wine.
