    Description

    The Domaine

It was founded by Frédéric Mugnier in 1863. His great-great-grandson took it over from his father Jacques-Frederic in 1985 with his wife Jocelyne. The estate kept its family spirit and the couple can count on a team of passionate people whose thorough work pays tribute to the beauty of the vines. They produce some of the most celebrated wines in Burgundy.

    The wine

The oldest part of Les Amoureuses is more than sixty years old, the youngest was planted in 1966, and the major part was between 1954 and 1956. The name of this climate nurtures all fantasies, les Amoureuses meaning "the loving women", but nobody knows where it came from.
