The vineyard
Domaine Clau de Nell was created in 2006 by one of Puligny-Montrachet's most renowned winemakers, Anne-Claude Leflaive and her husband Christian Jacques. With biodynamic viticulture at the heart of the project, the vines are managed in the most natural way possible, and vinification is carried out with very few inputs.
The wine
Cabernet Franc, majority of the blend, is complemented by a portion of Cabernet Sauvignon. Blending the two grape varieties achieves a perfect balance: Cabernet Franc adds spiciness and licorice notes. Cabernet Sauvignon adds freshness and floral notes.
