The vineyard

Located in Ampuis, the 7-hectares estate is run by Julie and Graeme Bott. Nothing predestined them for viticulture, yet today they produce wines in the Condrieu, Saint-Joseph and Côte-Rotie appellations. The couple vinify the grapes plot by plot, giving free rein to the expression of the terroir.

The wine

Graeme and Julie Bott's Saint-Joseph comes from granite parcels. This poor soil yields concentrated, aromatic grapes. The resulting wine has intense aromatic notes of black fruits such as blackberry and blackcurrant.
