The Domaine
The estate has a very long history in the Côte de Beaune, and the appellation was created by the Bonneau du Martray family. It remained in the family fold for two centuries until it was sold to Stanley Kroenke, owner of the Screaming Eagle estate in California.
The wine
Coming from a renowned vineyard facing west, this wine will be perfect to drink when it comes out of storage.
1996 is considered to be a very good quality vintage, giving the wine notes of brioche and fresh hazelnut. The mouth is ample, full, and complex.
