The domain

Château Lamartine, a family-owned estate in Cahors, launched the Expression cuvée in 1996. Produced from a block of 5 hectares of century-old vines on a clay-limestone soil, this cuvée embodies the purest expression of Malbec and the terroir of Cahors.



The wine

The cuvée reveals evolved aromas of ripe black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), alongside floral notes (violet), sweet spices (vanilla, clove), and a touch of undergrowth. The palate is ample and dense, with a silky texture. The tannins are smooth yet still present, offering a balanced structure. The wine reveals flavors of plum and licorice. Long and elegant finish, marked by persistent freshness.
