    Description

    The domain

From Thomas Barton, the Irish founder of his trading empire, to Hugh Barton, who is credited with the purchase of the Léoville vineyards to establish Château Léoville-Barton in 1826, this second Grand Cru Classé of the Médoc is one of the rare properties still owned by the same and only family. Today, it is Lilian Barton who reigns over the 50 hectares of the estate, accompanied by her husband and their two children.

    The wine

This typical Left Bank blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Franc, and Merlot offers a wine with notes of ripe dark fruits and silky, melted tannins: signs of careful aging. The wine is very complex with aromas of vanilla, cocoa, and tobacco.
