The domain

Sem, Jacques, and then Guillaume d'Angerville, a magnificent heritage passed down from father to son, continuing with a masterful order: the love of wine and Burgundy. Property of the Marquis d'Angerville since 1888, they are the primary reason for the great quality and beauty of these wines, a true ode to the terroir of Volnay.



The wine

The vines of the Domaine du Marquis d'Angerville are planted on a hillside for the premier cru Les Champans. At the top of the slope, the soils are the poorest. The yields are then lower, and the grapes allow for the production of very concentrated wine. At the bottom of the slope, the richer soils produce juicier grapes. Les Champans is an exceptional Volnay, both fine, creamy, and smooth: a delight!
