The domain
Created in 1628, this historic estate, located in Ribeauvillé, is now managed by Pierre and Jean Trimbach. The vineyard is situated on magnificent terroirs. The work in the vineyard and the cellar is traditional, which allows the estate to maintain a style that is uniquely its own year after year.
The wine
The Clos Sainte-Hune has belonged to the Trimbach family for more than two hundred years. This Clos with its exceptional terroir spans 1 hectare and 67 ares. The wines of Clos Sainte-Hune are very rare; indeed, only a few bottles are produced each vintage. Thanks to optimal soil and exposure, the Riesling from the plot is concentrated, aromatic, and has a long aromatic persistence. The aging potential is extraordinary, and the wine then develops notes of dried fruits and orange peel.
