The domain
Jean Gautreau buys the vineyard in 1969. The vineyards then cover only 5 hectares, and everything needs to be done in terms of infrastructure. After a titanic effort and with the help of Gérard Cler, Jean Gautreau managed to significantly develop the château, which to this day covers 83 hectares of vineyards.
The wine
The 2010 vintage offers a complex aroma with notes of dark fruits alongside more intricate notes of clove and vanilla. With powerful tannins and an extraordinary aromatic intensity, the wine has been able to withstand the test of time and has much complexity to offer today.
