Saint-Joseph

The estate

François Villard set up his domaine in 1988 when he acquired his first vines in the commune of Saint-Joseph. At the same time, he took a training course with Yves Cuilleron to perfect his skills. Since then, his estate has more than doubled in size, and now includes appellations such as Saint-Péray. At the estate, the grapes are harvested by hand, plot by plot, to ensure that the fruit is picked when fully ripe.

The wine

François Villard's Reflets cuvée is a Syrah with notes of ripe black fruit mixed with hints of eucalyptus. The wine spent 18 months in barrel, revealing spicy notes.
