The estate

Coume del Mas is owned by the Gard family and was created in 1997. Situated on the Spanish border, the estate extends over deserted seaside terroirs that are difficult to work. After a great deal of clearing and replanting, the results are more than convincing.

The wine

The Quadratur cuvée is a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan vines. The cuvée is marked by notes of ripe fruit and spices such as black pepper and cinnamon. After years in the cellar, the tannins have become rounder and the leathery aromas contribute to the wine's complexity.
