The domain
It was founded by Pierre Faiveley in Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1825. Seven generations of winemakers have succeeded one another, and today it is Erwan Faiveley who manages the 125 hectares of vineyards. The family has made its mark on the history of Burgundy wine, particularly Georges Faiveley, who, following the Great Depression of 1929, had the idea to recreate, with his friend Camille Rodier, the Brotherhood of the Knights of Tastevin, a resurgence of ancient oenophilic brotherhoods.
The wine
At maturity, this wine offers complex aromas of black cherry, plum, underbrush, and leather. On the palate, it reveals a rich and velvety structure, with fine tannins and a long mineral persistence.
