    Description

    The domain

"Do and hope." The family motto of the Chapoutier House meaning "Do and hope," reflects humility in the face of the land and the vine, the genesis of great wines that will leave a lasting impression. Michel Chapoutier took over the family business in Tain l'Hermitage in 1990 and founded a Rhône empire. In 30 years, nothing has stopped his passion for wine and love for great terroirs, now at the helm of over 350 hectares across the Rhône Valley and even more in Champagne, Alsace, Languedoc, and even Australia.

    The wine

The vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Maison Guigal thrive on these legendary rolled pebbles, which allow the vines to regain the heat accumulated during the day at night. The 1999 vintage in Châteauneuf-du-Pape is considered an excellent vintage at optimal maturity, producing wines that are rich, concentrated, and possessing an excellent structure.
