    Description

    The domain

Created at the end of the 19th century by Jean Grivot, it is now managed by Etienne Grivot. The estate covers an area of 14.72 hectares and produces 18 wines, mostly reds, including some Grand Crus like Richebourg and Clos-de-Vougeot. The estate follows a biological logic without certification.

    The wine

The Clos Vougeot plot was acquired by Gaston Grivot in 1919. His son Jean and then his grandson Étienne have since taken over his legacy. The 1992 vintage in Burgundy is good, and this Clos Vougeot is fully expressing itself today. The wine is intense and concentrated with notes of red and black fruits, underbrush, and violet, along with musky tertiary aromas.
