    The domain

    The house was founded by Athanase de Villermont, who had inherited the Champagne vineyard, Joseph Bollinger, a merchant of German origin, and Paul Renaudin, a Champagne enthusiast passionate about wines. The Bollinger and Villermont families united their destinies along with their professions with the marriage of Joseph Bollinger and Louise-Charlotte, daughter of Athanase. Their sons took over the succession.
