The domain

The estate, led by the Lafarge family, is an essential reference in Volnay, advocating for a viticulture that respects the terroir, practicing organic farming for several decades. Le Clos des Chênes, one of the most renowned in the area, is located on well-exposed limestone hills, producing wines of great finesse and depth.



The wine

The 2008 vintage, marked by cool and late weather, offers a wine of rare elegance. The delicate aromas of raspberry, currant, and peony intertwine with mineral and spicy notes. In the mouth, tension and freshness dominate, carried by fine tannins and a lingering finish with hints of red fruits.



Service tips

Can be still stored in a cellar.

Open a few hours in advance and/or decant.

To be served preferably around 15°C - 17°C.
