Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru

The domain

Founded in the 18th century in Volnay, it encompassed a mosaic of 12 hectares of certain Grand Crus from the Côte de Nuits and numerous Premier Crus from Volnay. After a tragic crisis, he went from 12 to 3 hectares around the family estate. In 1947, Hubert de Montille revolutionized ownership by stopping the sale of wines to merchants, and Etienne made his mark in the estate alongside his father starting in 1980. Transitioning to organic farming and then to biodynamic practices, expanding their estate throughout Burgundy and acquiring the Château de Puligny-Montrachet, Étienne and his sister Alix have elevated their family story and their estate among the legends of Burgundy.



The wine

This Premier Cru, located in the Malconsorts climate in Vosne-Romanée, is a prestigious cuvée from the Domaine de Montille. It stands out for its rich aromatic profile, combining notes of red and black fruits, delicate flowers, as well as spicy and mineral nuances.

Can be still stored in a cellar.

Open a few hours in advance and/or decant.

To be served preferably around 15°C - 17°C.
