The domain
It was founded by Pierre Faiveley in Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1825. Seven generations of winemakers have succeeded one another, and today it is Erwan Faiveley who manages the 125 hectares of vineyards. The family has left a mark on the history of Burgundy wine, particularly Georges Faiveley, who after the Great Depression of 1929 had the idea to recreate, with his friend Camille Rodier, the Brotherhood of the Knights of Tastevin, a resurgence of ancient oenophilic brotherhoods.
The wine
This grand cru reveals complex aromas of dark fruits, truffle, and spices. It offers a solid structure, refined tannins, and a lingering finish.
