    Description

    The domain

The Guigal estate needs no introduction, founded in 1946 in the town of Ampuis and renowned for its reputation surrounding the Côtes-Rôties, particularly the magnificent "La Turque." Philippe Guigal has continuously worked with prestigious appellations such as Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, and Hermitage. Working in the vineyard is very serious, involving sustainable pest management and manual labor due to the slope of the vineyards. All the vintages are vinified in the cellar in Ampuis and undergo a maturation in new barrels for 42 months, allowing the wine time to develop its aromas.

    The wine

The enchanting mouth remains well-formed and full. Even with the intense heat, 2003 remains a very fine vintage.
