The domain
Antoine Jaboulet founded his estate in 1834. Generations succeed one another up to the fourth, and from 1997 Michel Jaboulet, cousin of the sons in place, takes the reins of the estate. The house was bought by the Frey group, owner of vineyards in Champagne and Bordeaux, in 2006. The estate has 125 hectares of vineyards. This estate is one of the most iconic in the Rhône Valley.
The wine
This Syrah from the Jaboulet estate comes from the steep slopes of Hermitage. Thus, the cuvée is concentrated with notes of ripe black cherry. Aged for the long haul, this wine now reveals notes of game and leather.
