The domain
The Carillon family has been in Puligny-Montrachet since the 16th century. In the 1960s, Louis Carillon was very important in the production of the great whites of the region, achieving worldwide fame with his Chardonnays. He cultivates a dozen hectares of vineyards using sustainable agriculture, mainly located in the 1er Crus of Puligny-Montrachet, as well as in the Grand Cru Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet. His sons François and Jacques have been involved in the development of the estate since the 1980s. In 2010, the domain was divided among them, each creating their own eponymous domain.
The wine
Remarkable finesse. The nose offers aromas of white fruits, candied lemon, and white flowers, with hints of flint. On the palate, the wine is elegant and mineral, with a creamy texture, well-integrated acidity, and a long finish marked by notes of butter and hazelnut.
