The Domaine
Cistercians began to cultivate vines around the Morgeot abbey in the middle of the twelfth century. The edifice became propriety of the Magenta family in the sixties, when Philippe Mac Mahon, Duc of Magenta, bought it. Passionate about the labour of the ground, he brought the Domaine on top of its fame with several cuvées. Since his death in early 2000, his wife Amélie took over the legacy.
The wine
The wine reveals notes of brioche and hazelnut alongside more tertiary notes, synonymous with its evolution. Thanks to its tension and aromatic concentration, this Chardonnay has stood the test of time and evolved in our cellars.
