The Domaine
Joseph Drouhin established his estate at a very young age in Burgundy. Since 1880, his heirs, now embodied by the fourth generation, continue to share the best of the regional terroirs. The children Frédéric, Véronique, Philippe, and Laurent cultivate vines in biodynamics, plow the soil, and grass the vines. Tradition, curiosity, and intuition are at the heart of their elaboration of wines.
The wine
This Chardonnay from a vineyard facing south will give the best of itself.
1999 gave excellent phases of sun exposure. It results in beautiful notes of fresh butter, brioche, and hazelnut.
