The domain
François Villard created his estate in 1988 by acquiring his first vines in the municipality of Saint-Joseph, while simultaneously doing an internship with Yves Cuilleron to perfect his skills. Since then, his estate has more than doubled and has included appellations such as Saint-Péray. At the estate, the harvest is done manually and parcel by parcel in order to collect the fruits at full maturity.
The wine
The nose is expressive, offering elegant aromas of white-fleshed fruits, such as pear and ripe apple, complemented by hints of candied citrus and white flowers. Subtle notes of honey, hazelnut, and gentle spices, such as white pepper, bring complexity.
