The François Villard estate is located in Saint-Michel-sur-Rhône, a few kilometers south of Condrieu in the northern Rhône. The estate produces white and red wines in a traditional style.

    Description

    The domain

    François Villard created his estate in 1988 by acquiring his first vines in the municipality of Saint-Joseph, while simultaneously doing an internship with Yves Cuilleron to perfect his skills. Since then, his estate has more than doubled and has included appellations such as Saint-Péray. At the estate, the harvest is done manually and parcel by parcel in order to collect the fruits at full maturity.



    The wine

    The Reflet cuvée by François Villard is a Syrah with notes of very ripe dark fruits mixed with hints of eucalyptus. The wine was aged for 18 months in barrels, thus revealing spicy notes.
