    The domain

    Barbe Rac, the flagship parcel cuvée of Michel Chapoutier, comes from a unique plot in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The century-old Grenache vines, cultivated on rolled pebble soils, produce a powerful and complex wine. This cuvée embodies the Chapoutier philosophy: revealing the pure expression of the terroir with natural and precise vinifications.



    The wine

    This wine offers a complex and impressive aromatic palette of Provençal herbs, spices (licorice), chocolate, and dark fruits. The palate is ample and round.The aromatic persistence is remarkable. The wine reveals notes of candied red fruits, sweet spices, and cocoa.
