The domain
Château Sansonnet, a 7-hectare estate on the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, has a history dating back to the 18th century. The Château has been owned by Marie-Bénédicte Lefévère since 2009.
The wine
The wine is marked by complex aromas of ripe dark fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), violet, sweet spices, and hints of undergrowth and mocha. On the palate, it offers a velvety texture, a beautiful freshness thanks to the Cabernet Franc, and a structure balanced by the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The finish is long and elegant, marked by toasted and spicy notes.
