The domain
The Sabon family has elevated the Domaine de la Janasse, once the name of the family farm located in the area known as "La Janasse," to the rank of the Stars of Chateauneuf-du-Pape over the course of a few decades, now an essential estate spanning around fifty hectares.
The wine
This cuvée is a typical blend from the southern Rhône Valley of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. This blend allows the cuvée to be perfectly balanced. The wine reveals notes of ripe dark fruits such as blackcurrant, blackberry, and black cherry. The wine also reveals notes of garrigue contributing to its complexity.
