The domain

The Jean-Michel Stéphan estate was founded by the winemaker himself, and the first bottles were sold in 1994. Since Jean-Michel's two sons joined him on the estate in 2017, the estate has been renamed Maison Stéphan.



The wine

This Côte-Rôtie from the Stephan estate is a single-varietal serine, an ancient grape variety sharing characteristics with syrah. A cold carbonic maceration is carried out to extract the primary aromas of the serine. The wine has gained elegance and finesse over time. The cuvée now reveals notes of black pepper, eucalyptus, and black plum.
