The domain

The château is classified as Premier Cru in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification, an honor reserved for the greatest estates in the region. The Margaux vineyard is primarily planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller proportions of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The soil is composed of deep gravel, contributing to the quality and elegance of Margaux wines. The château is renowned for producing red wines of great finesse, exceptional aromatic complexity, and remarkable aging potential, sought after by collectors and enthusiasts worldwide for their excellence and ability to express the unique terroir of Margaux.



The wine

The 1986 vintage follows the line of excellence of the other vintages of the estate. After several years of aging in our cellars, the wine offers silky, integrated tannins and notes of chocolate, coffee, and tobacco.
