The estate
The estate was founded by Pierre Faiveley in Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1825. Seven generations of winemakers have since succeeded one another, and today Erwan Faiveley is in charge of the 125 hectares of vines. The family has left its mark on the history of Burgundy winegrowing, in particular Georges Faiveley, who, following the Great Depression of 1929, came up with the idea, with his friend Camille Rodier, of recreating the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, a resurgence of ancient oenophilic brotherhoods.
The wine
This grand cru reveals complex aromas of black fruits, truffles and spices. It has a solid structure, refined tannins and a lingering finish.
