The estate
This is an estate and a family with a great reputation in the Côte de Nuits. Founded in the early 1970s, the estate was managed by Jean and François Gros. In 1995, Jean Gros retired and the estate was split between his children Michel, Anne and Bernard. It now covers 19 hectares of various appellations, including the Clos des Réas, which has had a monopoly since 1995.
The wine
The supple palate is deep and complex, with hints of spice. The nose reveals notes of morello cherry, strawberry and raspberry alongside hints of pepper. The fine, mellow tannins make this a very harmonious wine.
