    Description

    The domain

William Ponsot had the intuition to settle in Côte-d’Or north of Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1872. Established on mythical terroirs, it is particularly known for its Grand Cru Clos de la Roche. Marie-Rose, the fourth generation, has been overseeing the estate since the beginning of 2017. Supported by Alexandre Abel, she favors a low-intervention viticulture, and her wines faithfully reflect the identity of the soils.

    The wine

On the Grand Cru Griotte Chambertin, the Ponsot estate offers a remarkably elegant wine with notes of red fruits typical of Pinot Noir, but also with tertiary aromas due to the wine's evolution in the bottle. This magnificent Grand Cru pays a beautiful tribute to the Burgundy region.
