    Description

    The domain

In 1983, Jean-Michel Gérin chose to distance himself from the family estate to create a domain in his name, still in Ampuis. The 12-hectare estate spans Saint-Joseph, Condrieu, and Côte-Rotie, with some vines planted on beautiful plots such as La Landonne and Les Grandes Places. Jean-Michel Gérin and his wife Monique manage their vineyards with passion and respect for the soil and the environment.

    The wine

The first parcel vinification of La Landonne at the estate took place in 1996. This single-varietal Syrah was aged for 22 months in new oak barrels and barrels previously used for other wines. Thanks to aging under optimal conditions, this cuvée has retained a lot of freshness, refined itself, and developed its complexity with notes of leather and game.
