The domain
Located in Ampuis, the 7-hectare estate is run by Julie and Graeme Bott. Nothing predestined them to viticulture, yet to this day they offer wines under the Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, and Côte-Rotie appellations. The couple vinifies the grapes plot by plot, allowing the terroir to express itself freely.
The wine
On the magnificent terroirs of Côte-Rôtie, the estate of Graeme and Julie Bott offers us a Syrah with notes of garrigue, eucalyptus, and black cherry. With 20 months of ageing in French oak barrels, the tannins have softened, and the wine has gained in smoothness and complexity.
