The Barmès-Buecher estate was founded in 1985 in Wettolsheim, just a few kilometers south of Colmar, following the union of Geneviève Buecher and François Barmès. With a focus on preserving the terroir, the estate has been run biodynamically since 1998.

    Description

    The Estate

    To date, the estate is managed by Maxime, Geneviève, and Sophie Barmès. They work with their team to produce wines that are authentic and remarkably precise. The Barmès-Buecher estate boasts 7 different terroirs, including no fewer than 3 Grand Crus, which allows the estate to produce a wide range of wine styles.

    The Wine

    The Riesling from Clos Sand comes from vines planted in granite soils, which impart tension and plenty of freshness to the wine. The wine is crystalline and reveals notes of white peach, fresh apricot, and jasmine: a true delight!
