The Estate

Jean-Baptiste Hardy took over the family estate located in Mouzillon, 25 kilometers south of Nantes. The winemaker has spent a great deal of time vinifying abroad and in Burgundy, and his cuvées reflect all of his expertise.

The Wine

Éclats is a single-varietal Melon de Bourgogne from plots planted on Gabbro soils, a typical soil of the Muscadet appellation. The cuvée reveals notes of pear, apple, and fresh mirabelle, all supported by a very elegant tension. For this cuvée, Jean-Baptiste does not use wood aging, which helps preserve the finesse of the grape variety.
