The estate
The Deiss family has been established in Bergheim, Alsace, not far from Ribeauvillé, since 1947. With biodynamic viticulture at the heart of its philosophy, the estate places respect for the soil and the environment at the heart of its practices. The Deiss family focuses its know-how on the terroir rather than the grape variety, offering wines with very distinct styles.
The wine
This estate cuvée comes from poor soils, so the wine is concentrated and reveals intense notes of red fruit such as blackberry and blackcurrant. Saint-Hyppolyte also reveals spicy notes, typical of Burgundy pinot noirs. The wine's long-lasting aromas are a testament to its quality.
