The Domaine du Bel Air is located in Benais, in the Touraine region of the Loire Valley. The Gauthier family began making wine on the estate in 1880, and the vines have been passed down from generation to generation ever since.

    The estate

    This 20-hectare estate in the Loire is now run by Rodolphe Gauthier. The estate produces deep, remarkably precise wines.

    The wine

    Jour de Soif is an infusion of Cabernet Franc. The estate's aim was to produce a wine with very fine tannins and a fluid texture: the gamble paid off! The cuvée opens with notes of raspberry, strawberry and black pepper.

    Does not need decanting.

    Best served at around 15°C - 17°C degrees.
